Clint Jensen - MD Production Director

Brisbane born Clint Jensen held state records for track and field until the age of 12 when he found a sport unnatural to Australians, called ice-skating. Clint was a natural and inside two years was selected to skate in Canada with the first Australian junior team. Clint was by now also playing ice hockey representing Queensland in junior and senior teams. A move with his parents to Townsville at 16 found Clint helping to start the Townsville Vipers, the town's first hockey team, and he organized the first intercity hockey tournament between Townsville and Brisbane.

In 1994 Clint watched skating friends of his he win Australia's first winter Olympic medal. Within 2 weeks Clint moved back to Brisbane and began the journey to make the next Australian Olympic team. During this time Clint worked for an Orthotic Company making corrective inner soles from carbon fibre. Little did he know it but this would be the basis of a skate-making career. Struggling with second hand boots and blades, Clint still managed to compete for Australia in the European World Cups and achieved good results. However, frustration set in over the 6-12 months delay for custom boots, so he set about making his own. The first pair was for Steve Bradbury. Soon other skaters from Australia and overseas would ask for boots made by this new manufacturer, including 6 of the top 10 short track skaters in the world. In 1997 Clint and Steven Bradbury started a new business called the Revolutionary Boot Company (RBC). For the next 5 years Clint worked from his parents shed before relocating to the present manufacturing site.

By 2002 medals were being won in every distance on RBC skates. TV promotion saw orders increase exponentially and RBC had become embedded in Short Track with the immediately recognisable 3 ovals that appear on every pair of RBC boots. RBC's flexibility extended to allowing customers to choose from a number of designs, colors and materials to produce a personalised boot. RBC was the innovator of the Original "Torsion" in 1997. Despite a world wide search for a suitable manufacturer to produce a range of stock sports footwear, Clint realised that the only place where quality can be guaranteed is here at RBC and, now armed with a board of advisors, set out to prepare the new production run of skates to be made in Australia. In June 2008 Clint pulled the new process and team together to go into production of the new RBC Production boots. The stage is set for the 'Revolution' to begin.
