  • Who is wearing RBC?
    • Almost every speed based skating sport in the world has skaters that choose RBC.
  • Do you make Long Track and Inline Boots?
    • RBC produces boots for Long Track, Short Track & Inline. You just have to request the boots that you would like for your particular sport.
  • When do my RBC custom boots get started on?
    • Your boots will be started on when RBC receives a pair of casts made to the RBC instructions and the total cost of your boots.
  • How do I know if I have a good custom boot manufacturer?
    • RBC believes strongly that your skate manufacturer is as important as any part of your support team. RBC records every aspect of every pair of boots so we can make slight critical changes to every pair of boots your use from RBC. If your manufacturer can not offer this then you are not receiving true custom skates.
  • How long do I have to wait for my custom boots?
    • Delivery time varies during the year from 16-24 weeks from February – August and 8-12 weeks the rest of the year.
  • What if I don’t like my custom boots?
    • RBC wants to make you happy with your purchase so we will attempt everything we can to have a pair of boots that you will be happy with.
  • Can I have a refund on my custom boots?
    • Unfortunately no. Because your boots are custom made we can not sell them to another skater.
  • The boots fit but I want to change things?
    • You can have the height and length altered as well as the block angles. You will have to pay for these alterations.
  • Can I choose my own colors?
    • The answer is yes. You can choose from many colors but some cost extra due to the cost of the material.
  • Can I have my name on my boots?
    • Yes you can have almost anything written on your boots providing the RBC Sport Directors approve it.
  • I don’t have anyone to cast my feet?
    • RBC has a casting kit that you can purchase to cast your feet.  You can take these instructions to any foot doctor / Podiatrist and they will be able to cast your feet. You can download the instructions and pictures from the order page or email RBC directly requesting the kit.
  • Will there be anyone from RBC at our next competition?
    • If you send us the details of your next major competition 3 weeks in advance we will let you know if an RBC distributor will be attending.
  • Does RBC make production boots?
    • Yes finally Clint is happy with the construction with the custom boots and he has transferred much of this technology into a production line of boots.
  • Will RBC Sponsor me?
    • RBC is always looking for potential World Champions so send us your details. We will take a close look at them and get into contact with you.
  • Why are your boots better than other brands?
    • Clint has spent over 10 years researching and refining RBC boots to the point they are at today. The innovation of assembly techniques and the use of the most advanced and expensive materials available has promoted RBC to the top of the list of elite skate manufacturers. RBC until recently has been the silent achiever usually reserved for the sports elite. Now you can have what the elite has taken for granted for over one decade.
    • RBC prides itself on leading the skate manufacturing trend with quality workmanship and materials. We don’t have people paid to go out and find the materials. Clint & Simon do all the research themselves. Clint is also on of the most innovative skate designers in the world. This was proven by the 3 Gold medals and 2 silver medals and 1 Bronze won on RBC at the 2002 Olympics.
  • How long have you been making boots?
    • Clint first started making boots back in the 80s, on the north side of Brisbane Australia. Clint saw the skating boot design change from leather to fibreglass and then to carbon fibre in the early 90s. RBC was established as a business in 1996 and now has many of the best skaters in the world choosing RBC’s latest models.
  • Can I have orthotics in my boots?
    • This is an area that Clint does not agree with. But it doesn't mean we won’t put them in. Keep in mind orthotics will not fit in custom boots unless they are made into the boot from the start.
  • My boots are old and I don’t want to change what can I do?
    • You can send your boots back to RBC for renovation we will repair or replace the upper as well as the inside of the boot. We can also re-strengthen the boots if you so desire.. But please understand this is a long and hard thing to do. The cost for this is almost as much as purchasing a new pair of boots. We suggest you buy new RBC boots if your old ones are at the stage of rebuilding.
